01

What this covers

These terms apply to your participation in any Nerva Wellness event or session, including Fire & Ice sessions (sauna and cold water immersion), Run Clubs, Padel sessions, Walk & Talk sessions, and Wildfire sessions (fire circle / open firepit) — and to any food, drink or refreshments made available at those sessions, whether provided by Nerva Wellness or a third-party host, venue or partner (each a Session).

Please read this page in full. Taking part means you’re agreeing to give up certain legal rights, including the right to bring some claims against Nerva Wellness. If anything below isn’t clear, ask a facilitator before you take part — they’d rather explain it than have you guess.

02

The activities

Nerva sessions involve physical and sensory experiences that carry inherent risks. Depending on the session, that can mean heat exposure, cold water immersion, breathwork, physical exertion, sporting activity, uneven or outdoor terrain, and proximity to open flame. The summary below is a guide, not an exhaustive list — ask a facilitator if you want more detail on a specific session.

Fire & Ice

  • Heat exposure — dehydration, overheating, dizziness, fainting, burns
  • Cold immersion — cold shock, involuntary gasping, changes in breathing and heart rate, numbness
  • Rapid transition between hot and cold

Padel

  • Collision with players, ball, racquet or court surfaces
  • Sprains, strains, joint or impact injury from fast movement

Run Club & Walk & Talk

  • Cardiovascular exertion, uneven ground, road/trail hazards, traffic
  • Weather exposure, slips, trips and falls

Wildfire

  • Open flame, sparks, smoke inhalation, hot equipment
  • Burns or injury from proximity to fire or embers

03

Assumption of risk

Taking part in a Nerva Wellness session is entirely voluntary. The risks described above — and others not specifically listed — are inherent to these activities and can’t be eliminated regardless of the care taken. By choosing to take part, you knowingly and freely assume those risks, known and unknown, including the risk of physical injury, illness, or in rare cases, death.

You agree to follow the instructions of Nerva Wellness facilitators before and during a session, including any instruction to stop, modify or withdraw from an activity. Not following that guidance increases your risk of injury and may mean you’re asked to leave.

04

Health & fitness to take part

By taking part, you’re confirming you’re in good health and physically able to take part in the session. Some conditions can make participation — particularly heat and cold exposure — inadvisable or dangerous, including (without limitation): cardiovascular or heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy or seizure disorders, respiratory conditions such as asthma, pregnancy, diabetes, Raynaud’s phenomenon or other circulatory conditions, recent surgery or injury, open wounds or skin conditions, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and any acute illness or fever.

It’s your responsibility to let a facilitator know of any relevant condition before you take part, and to seek advice from a qualified medical professional if you’re unsure whether it’s safe for you to participate — that call sits with you, not with Nerva Wellness. Tell a facilitator immediately if you start to feel unwell during a session.

05

Food, drink & refreshments

Where food, drink or refreshments — including alcohol — are available at a session, whether from Nerva Wellness or a third-party host, venue, caterer or brand partner, you consume these at your own risk. It’s your responsibility to flag any allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement to a facilitator in advance. Nerva Wellness can’t guarantee any food or drink is free from allergens unless expressly confirmed.

Don’t take part in sauna or cold water immersion while under the influence of alcohol or drugs — it materially increases the risk of injury, and facilitators may ask you to sit that part out.

06

Personal belongings

Nerva sessions often run in outdoor, shared, or pop-up locations where we can’t guarantee storage or supervision of personal items. Nerva Wellness, its facilitators, staff, and any hosting venue or partner accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings — phones, wallets, jewellery, clothing, vehicles included — brought to or left at a session. Leave valuables at home where you can, and keep what you bring with you or secured.

07

Release of liability & indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, by taking part you release and discharge Nerva Wellness, its owners, facilitators, staff, contractors, and any hosting venue, event organiser or brand/community partner (together, the Released Parties) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities and causes of action arising out of or connected with your participation in a session — including claims relating to personal injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property, however caused, save as set out below.

You agree to indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from your own negligence, wilful misconduct, breach of these terms, failure to disclose relevant health information, or failure to follow facilitator instructions during a session.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Nerva Wellness or its facilitators, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales, including under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These terms don’t affect your statutory rights.

08

Photography & media

Nerva Wellness may photograph or film sessions for marketing and social content. By taking part, you consent to appearing in that content. If you’d rather not, just let a facilitator know before the session starts and we’ll make sure you’re kept out of shot.

09

Participants under 18

Where a participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present or must have given specific advance consent to a facilitator, and takes responsibility for assessing the minor’s fitness to take part, disclosing any relevant health information, and supervising them throughout the session — including during any sauna or cold water immersion. Facilitators may, at their discretion, restrict or adapt a minor’s participation in specific activities, heat and cold exposure in particular, on safety grounds.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in full force and effect. These terms apply to every Nerva Wellness session you take part in, and stay in effect until we update this page — check back from time to time.

Before your session

If you have a medical condition, allergy, or are bringing someone under 18, speak to a facilitator when you arrive, or get in touch beforehand at nervawellness@gmail.com. We’d rather know in advance than find out mid-session.

This page is a template prepared for general use across Nerva Wellness sessions and does not constitute legal advice. It’s recommended that it’s reviewed by a qualified solicitor before ongoing use, and revisited periodically as venues, activities and risk profile evolve. Last updated 25 August 2026.
